In less than 40 days I will take to the NYC streets to run my 10th marathon. My favorite race, my favorite city, my favorite fans. Add to that a new knee and the 50th anniversary of the NYC marathon—-LFG! This year I am raising money for an organization that, as a mother and the daughter of an elementary school teacher, is very close to my heart. Sesame Workshop (Sesame Street) is a non profit educational organization that supports the growth and development of children ALL over the world. While many of us learned to count with Cookie Monster and read with Elmo, the workshops mission is far greater than teaching letters and numbers. Through a diverse cast, song, dance and play they explore social, emotional and cultural issues. They rely on public support to continue their quest to address the constantly changing issues that face young children around the globe. Please help by donating so they can continue their mission. And PLEASE come out to cheer; the crowds are what makes NYC the greatest place to chase 26.2!
